I'm Jack, a professional music educator from Connecticut. I am a full-time choral editor, clinician, and writer at Alfred Music.
I hold a Master's in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Connecticut. A lifetime Husky, I also earned a B.A. in Voice and a B.S. in Music Education from UConn. I was a founding member of the UConn Chamber Singers, and I continue to lend my voice to the Connecticut choral scene.
An active choral writer, I contribute regularly to the repertoire. I'm proud to publish my music with industry-leading publishers. My arrangements represent top-notch artists like Bill Withers, Post Malone, Lizzo, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
I taught choral and general music at Swift Middle School in Oakville for five years. I also directed the Swift Select Choir, and was very lucky to learn from many amazing colleagues-turned-friends along the way.
I am also a past director of the Consonare Youth Scholars in Storrs. This group is part of Consonare Choral Community, an organization that builds community through singing. A current board member, I serve on Consonare's programming committee.
In 2020, I was honored to be named Young Choral Director of the Year by Connecticut ACDA. Currently, I serve on their repertoire and resources board as the composition chair.
Music teachers continue to rise to the many challenges they face every day, and it's refreshing to know that what we do continues to make an impact. Keep up the good work, my friends, and thanks for all you do.
